we're bobbin' along in a barrel/some of us tip right over the edge

So tonight I met Lily at Union Square at 6, we had dinner at Cozy's (burger burger BURGER) and then went to see GUARDIANS, a play with Lee Pace & Katherine Moening. The play was interesting, but I really felt like I'm too much of a meathead for something as political as it is, but let's face it, I was there for the actors and really, they were both pretty great. Moening was a bit too- I dunno, she had a lot of ticks going on and it got a bit distracting, but she did quite well. I kept thinking about how odd it was that a few years ago I actually became addicted to that show YOUNG AMERICANS because her character was so cool (she was pretending to be a boy, but then Ian Somerhalder devolped a crush on her, which confused him as he thought she was a guy), never suspecting that years later I'd be in NYC watching her in a show. Lee Pace was absolutely flawless (a word i dislike to use, so that should tell you something) and his hands... wow. He's a tall drink of water... After the show we hung out to see if I could get him to sign my playbill- which he did. But of course I felt like an ass for asking, the pen I gave him didn't work very well, he said "thanks for coming" and I just stood there dumbly and said "you were really great" and walked away feeling like a tool. THIS is why we don't talk to famous people kids, especially ones that are breathtakingly handsome. I wish I wasn't such a meathead, I might have had something interesting to say to him. Oh well, whatever. It was still pretty cool. Lily later said that we ought to have brought a cow creamer to give him in honor of WONDERFALLS- now that would have been cool.
