i've been losing confidence in me/just when i'm feeling the strength i get weak

Talking to my mom lately makes me feel better, knowing that in a few months I'll be at home with the family. (Plus there was the brief mention of a fantasy about moving to Gainesville- which is really cool & an idea we had briefly mentioned a while ago. Gainesville is a bit further north from where my Granny lives, very cool little college town, not really a big hurricane target... most importantly NOT MIAMI. but as I said it was a small mention & a fantasy, but maybe there's some hope)
Other than that I've been down, depressed and a bit disenchanted with work. At first it seemed that there was so much to do and keep busy with in my new position, but most days I end up being really bored with nothing to do. Despite the fact that I read the first Harry Potter book last month, I feel really uncomfortable/guilty about reading on the job, even though there is a lot of time when there's literally nothing else to do. The last couple of days I've been really down/exhausted and ended up leaving work a few hours early today since there were 3 people in my zone and again, nothing to work on. I got home, had a long hot shower and then took a nap and watched another Carole Lombard movie (We're Not Dressing- Gracie Allen & George Burns are hysterical. Bing Crosby? Kind of creepy). The flatmates all watched some tv together and basically it ended up being a nice evening. I'm still pretty awake, so I'm going to watch more Lombard!
and of course I'll remember my mom's advice: This too shall pass...

title quote: Badly Drawn Boy, "A peak you reach" from ABOUT A BOY
music du jour: Badly Drawn Boy all day... damn I love him.
dvd player: WE'RE NOT DRESSING, from the CAROLE LOMBARD GLAMOUR COLLECTION
bookbag: Gavin Lambert's NORMA SHEARER
celebrity sightings: 0, despite thinking that I saw Miss Jay from America's Next Top Model on the train. In fact, it was just a very unfortunate looking woman.
